Google Drawings

This week we learned how to use Google Drawings. We got to make our own pictures using the shapes. There was a range of different pictures we made.

Quality Blog Comments

In Room 5 we have been learning to write quality blog comments. We have been practicing in class, and on peoples blogs.

We also had a go at the Manaiakalani Cybersmart Challenge number 17. Here is the post we completed.

Fake food in Room 5

Today in Room 5 we had loads of fun making images with the website Remove.bg! 

We uploaded images of ourselves pretending to eat, and used Remove.bg to erase the background.

Next we found images of food we wanted to (pretend) to eat.

Found a background that matched.

...and Boom! Fake food!

Cybersmart Posters

This week for Cybersmart we made posters about ourselves using Google Draw. We loved doing this task as we got to be creative and found pictures of all of our favourite things.

Simple Machines Experiment

Room 5 have been learning all about simple machines. We have been carrying out different experiments to test our simple machines. Here are a few photos of our experiments.

  

Animal Profiles

This week for Reading we finished our Animal Profiles. These helped us to name our reading groups. Our reading group names are the Leopards, Coyotes, Sloths and Hyenas. We had so much fun researching these animals and showing them to our parents at Student Led Conferences.

 

Easter Work

Last week we completed an Easter activity with Mrs Millward. We had so much fun making Easter Bunnies by tracing our hands. As a class we discussed our observations and made bar graphs using these. We hope you all had a great Easter break like we did.
